I am passionate about Communication, Behaviour and managing Change and have worked creatively with people from all walks of life to develop their natural resilience and successfully manage their stressful situations.
I have been involved in the field of Stress Management since qualifying with my Masters in Stress Management in 1994. Prior to that, I had followed a counselling route, particularly that of Rogers’ Person-Centred Counselling.
My background in Local Government provided many potential stress issues and led me to undertake a [then] crude form of stress assessment both for myself and my staff and to write a Corporate Absence Management Process as part of other studies.
Part of the research in Absence suggested a link between stress and time away from work and so there were a number of indicators which helped me to recognise how our individual reaction to situations could make us behave in ways we did not like and rarely understood.
My work is now largely focused on delivering learning and training solutions. I also research, write, produce and train other people to deliver training solutions, particularly in the fields of Leadership, Management, Diversity, Engagement and Customer Experience, in addition to Managing Stress.
In 2004, I undertook a Diploma in Performance Coaching, further adding to the possibilities of helping people better manage their life situations.
In 2010, I successfully undertook and qualified for HorseDream Partner – working with people and horses to help understand behavior, which has led to many interesting outcomes both for myself and my clients.
I work with people from many different walks of life, usually, though by no means solely, by telephone.
