SOUTH WEST WELLBEING NETWORK – Monday 28 September 2015 6-8pm
The Kenn Centre, Exeter Road, Kennford, Exeter, Devon, EX6 7UE
An Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation for Wellbeing
6.00 – 6.30pm Pre-event registration, networking & refreshments
6.30 – 7.00pm Based on Mindfulness and also classical Psychosynthesis guided
meditation, this taster session is great for self-development. It is designed
to help you improve your wellbeing, centre yourself, calm your system,
settle your emotions, and also to engage in spiritual growth through
accessing your subconscious wisdom.
About the Speaker – Cathy Towers
My original training in psychosynthesis gave me a strong grounding in
guided meditation and mindfulness awareness. I taught at Birkbeck
College in London for several years. Somehow, as with most things which are good for us, I allowed this wonderful skill to drift with too many other things, which were fun to engage in. Then, supporting myself through a prolonged period of stress,
I got myself back into a daily mindfulness routine and daily journalling. What a relief to be back on form again with confidence. It is a challenging practice initially but one which will serve us well lifelong with regular practice.
7:00 to 7.20pm Break and networking
7.20 to 7.50pm Mindfulness mediation part two – Psychosynthesis guided mediation
7.50pm Wrap-up & close
