Be recognised by belonging to the acknowledged lead body in Stress Management.
By joining an organisation that is a strong advocate of promoting best practice you will be recognised as holding the best available qualification. ISMAUK membership grades include: Member with post-nominals (MISMA), Associate membership, and Student membership.
Be recognised as an Approved Trainer or Approved Coach/Therapist
In April 2007, we introduced Approved Corporate Trainer, Approved Individual Trainer and Approved Coach/Therapist schemes. These are open to any Member after at least one year's membership. All Approved Trainers or Coach/Therapists are subject to annual assessment and are awarded their status following a rigorous scrutiny of their working practices and materials.

To keep you at the heart of latest developments, news and information you will receive the quarterly journal "Stress News".
A news clippings service is available to all grades of membership offering a daily digest of stress in the news from all UK (plus some Irish and International) publications.
Our new website also maintains a section dedicated to press releases and the latest news, guidance and research from government and research bodies including the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

Get connected through events
In addition to the national annual UK Stress Conference hosted by ISMAUK there are regular regional events throughout the UK and Ireland. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Receive referrals from ISMAUK
ISMAUK regularly receives requests for help from organisations and individuals throughout the UK. These may rang from an organisation requiring a trainer to run a series of workshops, or carry out risk assessments, to someone requiring therapist to help them. As a Member, you are entitled to be nominated for these requests for assistance.
Become part of the voice of the industry
If you feel strongly about how stress is portrayed in the media, dealt with in the workplace or the amount or type of information available to the public then, alongside other members, you will help us gain a strong voice to drive the industry forward and change the future.
